Four Teens Hurt In Sarpy County Rec Area Crash

Sarpy County Sheriff's investigators say four 16-year olds, three of them males, are injured when their 2004 Chevrolet Silverado left the roadway and struck a tree in the Chalco Hills Recreation Area around 6:30 Wednesday evening.

Two of the males had critical injuries; one was taken to Bergan-Mercy in a medical helicopter, the other taken to that hospital in a rescue squad.

A squad took the female teen to that same hospital with what are described as "moderate" injuries.

The third male was treated for minor injuries.

No names have been released.

The Gretna and Omaha Fire Departments responded along with the Sarpy County deputies, who continue to investigate.
