Western Wildfires Could Drift To Central Plains For The Weekend

As large wildfires burn in parts of California and across the American mountain west, upper level winds could send some of that air into the Midlands, with the potential to lower air quality.

6 News "First Alert" also points out it could bring some colorful sunrises and sunsets to Middle America.

Another factor to consider in the air quality this weekend will be the high pollen counts.

Weed pollen has been the issue all week and counts remain high.

Ragweed, pigweed and nettle are the primary pollen affecting allergy sufferers.
