Omaha Police Officers Will Get Some New Gear

The purchase of new cameras and weapons was before the Omaha City Council at its regular weekly meeting, and the Council unanimously approves buying 586 body cameras and 586 improved tasers.

The deal also includes a computerized storage system for all the video and data.

The purchases are in a five-year contract that is worth about five-and-a-half million dollars.
