Search on for man Nebraska State Patrol says made terroristic threats

The search is on for a man the Nebraska State Patrol says was making terroristic threats in Eagle, Nebraska Monday night.

The NSP says just before 6:30 Monday night, they got information from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office about a 911 call that originated from Eagle. Investigators says the call was described an armed person making threats. They say the subject of the call was reportedly driving a Cadillac SUV and stopped at a residence located on Highway 34 in Eagle.

The State Patrol say troopers based in Lincoln and Omaha responded to the scene, as well as sheriff’s deputies from Cass and Lancaster Counties. NSP SWAT and Crisis Negotiators were also activated and traveled to the scene.

Investigators say after several hours of attempting to make contact with the man, NSP obtained a search warrant for the residence. They say once NSP SWAT executed the search warrant and they discovered that the man was not inside the home. NSP says troopers did locate a cell phone and handgun inside the residence.

The investigation remains ongoing.
