Omaha Fire investigators say food burning on an unattended stove caused an early Sunday morning fire in a house near 31st Ave. and Whitmore St.
The fire department reports one person was taken to a hospital by paramedics in stable condition with burns.
Firefighters saw heavy fire and smoke when they arrived, but quickly brought the fire under control.
