So Far, All Is Quiet At The Nebraska Capitol This Inauguration Week

Two protesters were at the Capitol building in Lincoln on Sunday.

One held a sign in support of President Trump, the other legally had a bulletproof vest and rifle, according to 6 News.

There were also extra Nebraska State Patrol cruisers visible.

Governor Pete Ricketts said the Nebraska Army National Guard and Nebraska State Patrol are on alert, and the FBI said its Omaha Field Office has established a command post to gather intelligence and coordinate with local and state partners including Omaha Police on potential threats.

Right now, the FBI reports no specific and substantial threat to state Capitols or other government buildings in our area.
