Omaha Shooting Victim Found At Crash Scene

Omaha Police identify a person they found with a gunshot wound in one of two vehicles in a crash at 52nd and Sorensen Parkway early Friday morning.

Investigators say 43-year old Derrick Murrell told them he had been shot at another location and was being driven to a hospital when the crash happened.

Police say he is hospitalized with life threatening injuries.

The driver of the pick up in which he rode is being sought.

A person in the other vehicle had non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
