The clerk at the "Kwik Shop" at 3222 Q Street told officer two men entered the store around 12:40 a.m.
Investigators were told one of them started to make a purchase, the other brandished a knife and took the cash drawer. Both fled on foot westbound.
Police say both were described as Black males about 45 years old.
