Omaha Police Investigate Two Assaults

Omaha Police say late Monday afternoon, officers were called to an emergency room where 19-year-old Brandon Moreno-Benitez told them a teen male attempted to take money from him and then stabbed him.

Investigators say his injuries are not life threatening. He said he went to the area of 39th and Hartman Avenue to buy gaming equipment.

Shortly after that, officers met with 38-year old John Soliz, who said he was stabbed in the leg by an unknown person while walking along the Southbound side of U.S. 75 near Drexel Street.

Omaha Fire Paramedics took him to a hospital with what turned out to be non- life threatening injuries.

The investigations are ongoing.
