Troubling Drug Abuse Rates In Nebraska

A new study by the University of Nebraska- Lincoln shows an almost 59 percent increase in methamphetamine overdose deaths in Nebraska in 2018 and 2019.

The University's Rural Drug Addiction Research Center also reports admissions for meth treatment were up 200% between 2008 and 2018. .

Researchers do say Nebraska's rate of deadly meth overdoses is lower than the Midlands and national average.
