Omaha Police Make Supermarket Robbery Arrest

Omaha Police say they have made an arrest in the July 13th robbery of the "Family Fare" at 30th and Forest Lawn Avenue;

Investigators say 27-year old William Wilder was located and arrested Tuesday after a short foot pursuit near 26th and Camden Ave. They say Wilder was booked into Douglas County Corrections on a robbery warrant and a warrant for escape from work release.

Robbery detectives had identified Wilder as a suspect in this case and obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Employees told police a man entered the store, picked out some merchandise, including alcohol, and went to a self checkout lane. When an employee approached him to verify ID, the man indicated he had a gun, told the employee to back up, then said he was taking the items without paying.

He fled in a gray pickup;
