A Heat Advisory for the Omaha/Council Bluffs area and Lincoln will be in effect until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The National Weather Service says Heat index values expected to peak in the 103 to 109 degree range.
The advisory is for portions of East Central and Southeast Nebraska into Southwest Iowa.
WOWT 6 News' Chief Meteorologist Rusty Lord say highs will jump well into the '90's very easily again today.
