Omaha man arrested for possible child enticement

(Omaha, NE) -- An Omaha man is arrested following reports of child enticement.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Department says on August 20th, investigators received information about suspicious activity near the area of 170th and Hawthorne Plaza involving the possible enticement of children in the area. The sheriff's office says the suspicious activity reportedly had been ongoing since January 2021.

The DCSO Major Crimes Unit was able to identify the suspect as 26 year old Alden J. Zahm. On August 24th, surveillance efforts led investigators to make contact with Zahm while he was parked in the area. DCSO says Zahm was interviewed and evidence of criminal activity was obtained. Following the interview, Zahm was arrested without incident.
