18 year old arrested in connection to weekend death of South Omaha woman

(Omaha, NE) -- An arrest is made in connection to a South Omaha homicide.

Omaha Police say 18 year old Daniel Dejaynes-Beaman was arrested Monday. Investigators say just before 8:00 Sunday morning, officers were called to a home near 20th and Y for a death investigation. Police say due to suspicious circumstances, the Omaha Police Homicide Unit was called in to investigate 61-year-old Jolene Harshbarger's death as a homicide.

Dejaynes-Beaman was booked into Douglas County Corrections for 1st-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony. The investigation is ongoing.
