The Omaha Fire Department Monday is welcoming a new class of 30 firefighter recruits.
They mustered for the first time at the Omaha Public Safety Training Center, the location of the Omaha Fire training academy, and were welcomed by Mayor Jean Stothert and Omaha Fire Chief Dan Olson.
The recruits will undergo 12 weeks of training and drilling.
