(Omaha, NE) -- No bond for a man accused in the death of an Oklahoma man following an assault at an Old Market bar.

On Wednesday, a judge ordered that 22 year old Nolan King be held with no bond in connection to the death of 41 year old Rodney Pettit, of Lawton, Oklahoma. King is facing charges of 2nd degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

Omaha Police say officers were called to the Parliament Pub near 12th and Harney around 11:45 Saturday night for a disturbance. Once on the scene, officers found OFD medics treating an unconscious Pettit. Court documents show that Pettit had been hit with a glass bottle during the assault. Pettit was taken to Nebraska Medicine with life-threatening injuries, where he died Monday morning.

King’s preliminary hearing has been set for the afternoon of March 15.
