(Omaha, NE) -- An Omaha woman is behind bars after a pursuit with troopers.
The Nebraska State Patrol says just before 6:30 Tuesday night, a trooper saw a Mercury Mariner driving recklessly on Park Avenue, near 30th Street. Investigators say the trooper attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the vehicle fled. The NSP says the trooper initiated a pursuit, but it was discontinued out of concern for public safety.
The state patrol says a few minutes after the pursuit, the trooper located the driver, 22 year old Chalecia Trotter, as she was exiting the vehicle at an apartment complex. Trotter was arrested for flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, and an outstanding warrant.
