Former Huskers picked up in the second round of the NFL draft

(Las Vegas, NV) -- Two former Huskers are picked up in the second round of the NFL Draft Friday night.

Beatrice native and former center for Nebraska Cam Jurgens was drafted by the Philidelphia Eagles as the 51st pick overall. Jurgens started every game at center in 2021, earning third-team All-Big Ten recognition from coaches along the way.

Shortly after Jurgens was drafted, former teammate Cam Taylor-Britt was scooped up by the Cincinnati Bengals as the 60th overall pick. Taylor-Britt is the first Husker defensive back drafted since Nathan Gerry in 2017.
