(Denver, CO) -- The Creighton men's basketball team is moving on in the NCAA Tournament.

The Bluejays entered half time on Friday up by only two points over NC State, but rallied in the second half to beat the Wolfpack in round one of the tournament in Denver, Colorado. The final score was 72-63. Standout Center Ryan Kalkbrenner scored a career-high 31 points for the 6th seeded Bluejays. Friday performance by Kalkbrenner also broke Creighton's record for points in an NCAA tournament game, which was set by Doug McDermott back in 2014.

Creighton now moves on to the Round of 32 play on Sunday where they'll take on No. 3 Baylor.
