Man suffers serious injuries in Thursday afternoon shooting in NW Omaha

(Omaha, NE) -- A 20 year old man is injured in a northwest Omaha shooting.

Omaha Police say around 2:30 Thursday afternoon, officers were called to the area of 106th & Fort for a shooting. Investigators say once on the scene, officers located the victim Rashaun Benton with a gunshot wound. Benton was taken to Bergan Mercy Hospital. Police say his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
